We're thrilled to announce that Taylor Farm Park, Henrico County's first large community park in over 40 years, officially opened its gates on Tuesday! Nestled off Williamsburg Road in Varina, this 99-acre park is a monumental addition to the community, offering a plethora of recreational opportunities for all ages.

James River Nurseries is proud to have played a significant role in bringing this park to life. Our dedicated team was responsible for the landscape design, installation of sod and pavers, and the strategic placement of boulders in the splash park stream. Additionally, we constructed the splash park stream, creating a fun and refreshing space for families to enjoy.

The park boasts an impressive array of features, including:

  • A skatepark
  • An event area
  • A large playground
  • A spray park
  • A cycling pump track
  • A bike dirt skills course
  • Mist mounds
  • A treehouse
  • A zipline‍

This diverse range of amenities ensures that there’s something for everyone, whether you're looking to skate, bike, play, or simply relax in a beautiful setting.

We would like to extend a huge shoutout to Loughridge & Co., Timmons Group, and, of course, Henrico County, for their collaboration and trust in us to contribute to this amazing project. It has been an honor to work alongside such talented and dedicated professionals.

Taylor Farm Park is not just a park; it's a celebration of community, nature, and recreation. We invite everyone to come and experience this fantastic new space. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you, Henrico County, for this incredible opportunity to enhance our community's outdoor spaces. We're excited to see Taylor Farm Park become a beloved destination for residents and visitors alike.
